Udhiah is the sacrifice of an animal (sheep, goat, cow or camel) in the name of, and in seeking the pleasure of, Allah the Almighty. It is carried out by Muslims every year during Eid Al-Adha following the example of the father of Prophets, Ibrahim (Peace be upon him).
Allah says in the Quran: “It is neither their meet nor their blood That reaches Allah, it is your piety that reaches him” (Ch:22, V:37).
The Adahi Program aims to relief of poverty in Lebanon by distributing the frozen meat of “Adahi” to poor and needy persons. The program is connected to Eid “Al Adha” festival. Sheep are killed during the days of Eid “Al Adha”
