Social Enterprise and the Bayt Al Zakat Australia Golden Bee Hive Project

In order to create funds to sponsor a social enterprise, the Golden Bee Hive Project has been developed. The project aims to create a sustainable financial solution for the Australian Muslim Community. The project is about ‘Community Self Investment’. It aims to raise money locally to aid the future economic and social progression of the Australian Islamic Community, by sponsoring, supporting and building necessary communal service resources.

• This project will begin with ten individuals who are the present committee members of Bayt Al-Zakat Australia.
  
  
• Each individual must commit themselves to the Bee Hive Project, by contributing $360 dollars, either monthly ($30), quarterly ($90) or annually ($360).

• This commitment also entails signing a contract agreeing to relay the ‘Buzz’ of the project.
  
  
• Specifically, this means each member must endeavour to recruit a maximum of ten new members (bees), who in turn will commit themselves and agree to recruit more members.

• This model will enable the project to branch out and increase in the number of individuals who will be sponsoring social enterprises for the Australian Muslim Community (i.e. the honey comb).
